What are you loving at the mo mo?

I asked H to make a gremolata the other night, mostly because I just like the word GREMOLATA. It reminds me of GRANITA and EVERYONE loves granita's. SO in my head I have this random image of a granita whenever I see GREMOLATA on a menu. I think I've just designed some BOMB diggity culinary experience. H does NOT agree:

Me: "I wish we could eat prawn's granita"
H: "Oh God that sounds awful, why would you want that?!"
Me: "Because granita and gremolata sound the same and I think a granita would be nice with prawns"
H: "That sounds disgusting and the only thing that they have in common is the fact that they both start with a G"

silence..........................

10 minutes or so later...

Me: "But maybe in Italy they call gremolata: granita"
H: "What does that have to... arghrhghgh... No baby. No, they don't"

Le sigh

I'm going to prove him wrong one day....

SO H's fancy pants blah, blah gremolata actually tastes pretty damn good (but still reminds me of a GRANITA). Here is the recipe, it's lovely just mixed through pasta or over chicken or prawns or LAMB as H has so kindly recommended. Don't cook the gremolata use it as a post cooking rub/dressing style thing thang.

:) :) :)

You Say GREMOLATA, I Say GRANITA!

1/3 bunch parsley
1 lemon
1tsp capers
2 cloves garlic

finely chop all ingredients and combine

sprinkle over food (lamb is great)
DON'T FORGET MY PANCAKE COMPETITION!!!
