Hello peeps!
Long time no CHOCOLATE
HA!
I wanted to tell you guys about Grove & Vine it's a beautiful boutique style shop that stocks the most gorgeous edit of wines, cheese and gourmet treats. The Mopho boys love to buy chocolate from there. A few days ago Hamish took me over to have a look and the owners Sherrie and Roger offered to give me some Willie's Cacao for a giveaway.
There is one 180g solid block of Willie's Peruvian Black 100% Cacao AND a block of the Peruvian Dark Chocolate 70% Cacao.... which I have a penchant, ohhh it's deeeeeeeelicious.
To win the block of Peruvian Black 100% Cacao AND the block of Peruvian Dark Chocolate 70% Cacao tell me in a comment below what you would cook with the 100% Cacao block. The most creative answer will win.
This competition will close on September the 14th at Midnight. It's open to residents in AU only. Sorry international friends :( :( :(

Oh, and for the peeps that asked... I bought... this one....

Willie! I watched his documentary on ABC a few months ago, and fell in love with him! So inspirational, and just a wonderful dream!
ReplyDeleteCute purse!
Cook it? As if it would last that long. I'm gonna INHALE it ha ha ha ahhahhhah
ReplyDeleteL

Hmm I'd make a fondant - It's probably not super creative but it's the truth. You need something fairly 'simple' to let the essence and flavah of the chocolate shine. :-D
ReplyDeleteI have never had real cacao to play with, so what to make would be a hard choice. However, GreedyGourmand featured some amazing sounding chocolate brownie cookies the other day that are just asking for fantastic chocolate. I think that would have to be the answer.
ReplyDeleteLets be fair - I wouldn't so much cook as roll around in it. That counts, right?
ReplyDeleteThis stuff looks amazing! I think i'd attempt to make chocolate tagliatelle. If that didnt work, then just a simple, old fashioned choclated cake. I'd use a recipe from the CWA for this!
ReplyDeleteI would cook Willie's chocolate cloud forest cake! I've made it a few times with 85% lindt and it is deeeelicious. The recipe asks for the 100% cacao but I've never been able to find it!
ReplyDeleteI've never cooked with real cacao either...But I've always been fascinated by chocolate and chilli. I've wanted to try a chilli con carne recipe with chocolate.
ReplyDeleteWonder how that will turn out...
Ohhhhhh I LOVE WILLIE!!! I would make an amazing Mexican Mole Chicken - its a spicy, savoury dish with a chocolate based sauce which I devoured on a recent trip to Mexico. Brings back delicious memories. http://www.grouprecipes.com/84229/authentic-mexican-mole-chicken.html
ReplyDeletelol Hamish is looking suave :P
ReplyDeletehmmmm.... I would say banana bread but you don't like bananas so that's no way to get you to like my answer... so.... hmmm.. I'd reckon I'd have to go with a Mexican chicken mole sauce, with loads of guac and salsa and tequilas....
ARRRIIIBAHHHH!!
Looks beautiful..we love Grove & Vine.. I would turn it into an ice cream and sandwich in between 2 anzac biscuits..Like the yummiest kingston biscuit in the world..
ReplyDeletenom!!!
ReplyDeletekinder torta - a traditional serbian torte with tonnnneess of choc! x
Ahh that bag is too cute!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I love Grove & Vine too. As for the chocolate... I don't know! I'll have to hold it and smell it and eat it and then just let it inspire me.
Hai gurl,
ReplyDeleteI would totally love some of that too wonderful Willie chocolate.
When I was a kid I remember eating this around at someones Nona's house and it was awesome. I imagine it would even be better if it wasn't made with Old Gold chocolate.
What do you think? I'll take pictures and share it with you!

No other chocolate will do,
After all, this chocolate is from Peru.
The cake will be gooey & fudgy.
Ánd you'll eat so much that you''ll get pudgy.
Because Once you go peruvian black,
its so very hard to turn back.
