January Wedding Update

Rather than bore the beejeebus out of you all with wedding post after wedding post I've decided to do a monthly update. Each month I'll post a few of the decisions we've made or are thinking about. Yay!

1. Photo booth props... because we are getting a photo booth!!! yayaayayaayayaa
2. White lanterns in the tree where we will get married
3. Vegetables as part of our center pieces on the tables.
We can't have candles because our venue is heritage listed :( :( :(
Vegetables tie in well with the market gardens at the location.

What sort of center pieces did you have at your wedding?

Did you have a photo booth? Where did you get your props??!

Ohhhh I have a book at home which encorporates veggies into centrepeices and it look amazingggggg they lined the outside box with green string beans and it looked soooo good and then added artichokes in - it looks amazing ... they had them packed in long woodern boxes which was mixed in with kale and fresh flowers.

  6. Hmm maybe check out LED tea light candles? They're effective when put inside cylinder holders etc. I love the idea of the veggies though. Lovely and original.

    Love the look of lanterns.

We just had different size vases with orchids dangling out and floating in water.. with floating candles too.

  11. Lanterns are gorgeous Mez - haven't used them at wedding, but planning to have some for my 30th Birthday partay! And the idea of a veg centrepiece is great - will it be a live garden?

    1. Our wedding is in a garden that has a market garden attached to it. The market garden grows lots of the herbs and vegetables for Vue De Monde (who is doing our catering), that's where I got the idea to use vegetables from!

  13. YAY loving this. We're not having a photo booth but our photographer is looking to do something similar for the guests. We bought some props online - lips, moustaches, glasses :) so much fun! can't wait for more posts!
