I need mascara help peeps
I've been using Dior Diorshow for a year now and I'm just not happy with it.
I don't like waterproof mascaras so use the normal formula, but it budges as soon as I cry/sweat/it's hot etc.
Plus it stings when it runs
So I've switched back to Clinique Lash Power Mascara.
The good thing about the Clinique one is it comes off in little clumps with warm water the BAD thing is it's so thin and doesn't give me fat lashes or even long lashes unless I put on about 48329038120931280 swipes
Sigh
So here's what I want:
Fat/thick lashes
Long lashes
Non waterproof formula
BUT a formula that comes off in clumps with water
I used to swear by Model Co but I'd like to know if there is anything else out there.
Help!!!!!

What you want is a tubing mascara! I think a few brands make them, mirinesse, fairy drops, I think Mac does too, can't recall which one.
ReplyDeleteYES!
DeleteThat's what I want, does MAC really make one?!
Must find out!

I love Chanel Mascara! It is expensive, but thick and doesn't clump.
ReplyDeleteI have heard Maybelline thick and full (or something) is good, but I am yet to try.
I've used Chanel (was going to put it in the post)
DeleteBut it has the same issues as all non waterproof mascara... I need the tubing stuff :( :( :(

Hmmm, I use modelco fibre lash for special occassions, and for everyday I use Blinc Kiss me (which is one of those tube mascaras). Does a good job!
ReplyDeleteYep, that's the modelco one I was using... might need to go back to it if all else fails.

Lancome Hypnose is awesome!
ReplyDeleteIs it a tubing one?

Lancome Hypnose is awesome!
ReplyDeleteI have always had this same problem so I started using Estee Lauder Double Wear Smudge Proof Mascara and LOVED it! The only problem is I was always so fond of the price tag so I changed to Cliniqe Lash Power but agree it's too thin. I'm now using Model Co Fibre Lash and I am yet to find anything else that I could love as much as this! The Estee Lauder one is a close second though for me!
ReplyDeleteYep, the model co one looks like it's the winner, winner chicken dinner.
DeleteMaybe I can use it with the clinique one... it's such a shame the clinque one is so... thin...

Use the orange Covergirl one, I think it's the lash blast? It is the BEST, comes off easy and makes your lashes look amazeballs!
ReplyDeleteDoes it tube though?
DeleteI need a tubing one!
xox
Oh no... I have no idea!! I'm so sorry! It doesn't clump and I can put a million layers on and it still looks awesome though :) xx
DeleteA little secret - The worlds best mascara is from Daiso (Japanese store where everything is $2.80). I have had 3 tubes of it and people always comment on my lashes. It meets all your requirements - i promise! Don't know if there is a Daiso in Melb, but certainly is in Sydney!
ReplyDeleteWoop!
DeleteI will go look!!!
We do have Daiso here, is it a tubing mascara?

I love Colossal Lashes by Rimmel. It's the yellow one with purple writing. Only need a few coats, comes off easily for me, love it! xxx
ReplyDeleteIs it a tubing one?
DeleteThe one I get must be a tubing one!
xox
MAC False Lashes is my 'good' mascara, great for the lengthening and adds a bit of volume. Enough for me anyway.
ReplyDeleteMy 'have one in my desk' mascara is Maybelline Lash Stiletto, similar to the MAC but not quite as good on the lengthening.
Is the MAC one a tubing one?
DeleteApparently MAC has a tubing one! I want to try it!!!

I haven't used it in a while, but Mirenesse Secret Weapon Mascara is pretty good.. they usualyl have little test size ones you can buy for peanuts. I am wearing L'Oreal Double Extension Beauty Tubes at the moment (I got it on ebay). For the price it's pretty good. x
ReplyDeleteYep!
DeleteI used to sell the Mirenesse one in the pharmacy, I had no idea you could still buy it.
From what I remember it was pretty good, might need to hunt it down!
xox
i have no idea about mascara, I'm usually someone who buys a magazine just to get the free one :P My favourite was a Chanel one I treated myself to once. Really need to wear it more often, I'm just too lazy :P
ReplyDeleteI had a Chanel one and it was gorgeous but still budged... sigh... looks like MAC is the way to go, all my other MU is MAC anyway so it's fitting!

I love Maxfactor Masterpiece Max (I think it comes off in clupms, cant remember though) and Maybelline Falsies (rubs off in the shower easily). My colleague has also raved to me about a Chanel mascara she uses, one with a curved applicator bush. Her eyelashes always look AH-MAZING. Hope you find what you are looking for. Finding the right mascara can be a royal pain! x
ReplyDeleteIt must come off in clumps I have decided and MAC is looking good, I love MAC so I'm happy with that!
Deletexox
MAC false lashes is the best!
ReplyDeleteI am going to give that a go or Opti lash which ever one comes off in clumps!!!!!
Deletexox
I have never found a non-waterproof mascara that I have liked. I might need to try one of these tubing ones!

MAC Opulash is your answer!!
ReplyDeleteYES!
DeleteI am going to try this and another MAC one and see which one is a tubing mascara!!!!
xox
Opulash is the tubing mascara that Zoe Foster talked about somewhere, love it. Good luck! X
DeleteMAC Opulash is a tubing mascara and is very good!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your 'tubing' mascara search!
Everyone is a legend who has suggested MAC, I feel mildly embarrassed that I didn't go to MAC to ask them if they had it BUT I didn't remember it was called tubing mascara and I always drive them crazy with my silly descriptions so I was technically saving face haahahahaa

obsessed with the coming off in clumps! try MAC pro lash x
ReplyDeleteI am going to, I buy ALL my MU from MAC so it works.
DeleteWhen we were at Myer Hamish walked to the MAC counter expecting me to buy my mascara there haaahahaha he is well trained!
